How Changing My Focus Redefined My Life
For years, I thought life was just something that happened to me. It felt like I was being tossed around by circumstances and I had no control over it.
I used to think I was a victim.
I’d blame everyone and everything for the situations I found myself in. But deep down, I knew something wasn’t adding up.
I think it was just too tough for me to accept.
The truth was my choices led me to where I was. It wasn’t about the world being out to get me, even if that’s what I convinced myself.
Then, one day, something clicked.
I came across a simple idea: “Our lives are a direct reflection of where we put our focus.” This is something I’d heard so many times before, but it never sunk in.
This time was different.
Maybe I was just fed up with feeling stuck, or maybe I was ready to hear it. Whatever the reason, it got me to stop and think.
That’s when I realized, that even when I thought I was on the right track, I was always one step away from slipping up again.
Why?
Well, the problem was, that I never paid attention to what I was focusing on.
